Los Lakers (4-2) se llevaron la victoria de Memphis (3-3) por 112-117 en el regreso de Luka Doncic a la acción, precisamente en el partido inaugural de la Copa NBA.

Los Grizzlies se impusieron a los Pacers por un contundente 128-103 y lo hicieron en buena medida gracias a ls soberbia actuación del rookie Cedric Coward.

Coward, escolta de 1,96 y 22 años, ex de la universidad de Washington State, firmó unos enormes 26 puntos, con 9 de 13 en tiros de campo, 6 de 6 en triples y 3 de 4 en libres, a los que sumó 6 rebotes, 4 asistencias y 1 robo, en 24 minutos (+36).

Hugo González se estrena en el Madison Square Garden

El español Hugo González debutó en la NBA y lo hizo de la mano de los Celtics y en el Madison Square Garden. No son malos nombres a los que asociarse, no. Ganaron los neoyorquinos por 105-95, pero el alero madrileño ofreció un buen rendimiento a ambos lados de la cancha. 

A sus 19 años, Hugo firmó 6 puntos (3 de 6 en tiros de campo y 0 de 2 en triples), 4 rebotes, 1 asistencias, 2 robos, ninguna pérdida y 4 faltas personales, en los 23 minutos de los que dispuso (+7).

Kevin Durant, dos años más en los Rockets

Los Rockets han extendido el contrato de Kevin Durant por dos años más y 90 millones de dólares. De esta manera, KD estará en Houston al menos hasta 2028. 

El alero, de 37 años, tendrá opción de jugador tras ese primer año, por lo que además es dueño de su futuro a corto plazo, en el caso de que quisiera seguir jugando.

Además, el mercado se sigue moviendo en forma de renovaciones. Así, los Pacers han prolongado el contrato de Aaron Nesmith por 40,4 millones de dólares y dos campañas. 

Los Hawks han firmado a Dyson Daniels por cuatro años y 100 millones. Los Nuggets han hecho lo propio con Christian Braun, por cinco temporadas y 125 millones.

Los Trail Blazers han renovado a Shaedon Sharpe por 4 temporadas y 90 millones. Y a Toumani Camara por 4 campañas y 82 millones.

Los Bucks renuevan a A.J. Green

A.J. Green llegó a la NBA de puntillas, en 2022, después de completar su ciclo universitario en Northern Iowa. Allí fue elegido Jugador del Año de la Missouri Valley Conference, pero eso no le valió ser incluido en el draft. Ahora, los Bucks le han renovado por cuatro años y 45 millones de dólares.

Green, escolta de 26 años y 1,93, promedió en la NCAA 17,9 puntos, 3,3 rebotes y 2,6 asistencias. Y siempre destacó por ser un tirador seguro desde más allá de la línea de tres puntos.

En la NBA se ha ido haciendo un hueco poco a poco y sus números son de 5,8 puntos, 1,7 rebotes y 1 asistencia, en 16 minutos de juego, con un sobresaliente 42,1 % en tiros de tres.
