Spurs y Knicks, finalistas de la Copa NBA

Los Spurs (18-7) dieron un golpe de autoridad sobre la mesa y derrotaron a los casi invencibles Thunder (24-2) por 109-111. Fue el regreso de Victor Wembanyama después de perderse 12 partidos por problemas físicos. Ni que decir tiene que fue por todo lo alto. 

Los de OKC salieron dominando, pero los texanos no perdieron la cara al partido y en el tercer cuarto ya mandaban en el marcador.

Los Spurs contaron con cuatro recursos ofensivos de primer orden: Devin Vassell (23, 5, 4, 1 y 1 t.), Víctor Wembanyama (22, 9, 2, 1 y 2, en 21 min., +21), Stephon Castle (22, 6 y 2), De'Aaron Fox (22, 2, 4, 2 y 1 t.). Además, contaron en la intendencia con Dylan Harper (8, 4, 1 y 1 t.), Harrison Barnes (6, 4, 5 y 2, +15) y Luke Kornet (2, 8, 1 y 1).

En la otra semifinal, los Knicks (18-7) superaron a los Magic (15-11) por 120-132. Jalen Brunson fue el líder indiscutible de los de la Gran Manzana.

Brunson terminó con 40 puntos (16 de 27, 2 de 5 y 6 de 9), 4 rebotes, 8 asistencias y 1 robo, en 39 minutos (+3).

Los Lakers ganan en Filadelfia en el regreso de Doncic

Luka Doncic regresó de Eslovenia, después de su permiso de paternidad, y los Lakers ganaron en Filadelfia por una apretado 108-112. LeBron James fue fundamental en el tramo decisivo del choque con un triple y un tiro de media distancia.

A 1:29 para el final Joel Embiid colocaba el empate a 105 en el marcador. A 1:12, LeBron anotaba de tres y ponía el 105-108. Embiid fallaba en el siguiente ataque y LeBron no lo hacía enchufando un tiro de seis metros (105-110). Maxey anotaba un triple a 7,6 (108-110) y Doncic sentenciaba desde el tiro libre a 4,2 del término del choque (108-112).

Una racha al alcance de... nadie. LeBron James se quedó en 8 puntos, después de una mala racha en el tiro (4 de 17). Pero, eso sí, suya fue la asistencia a Rui Hachimura que dio el triunfo a los Lakers en Toronto por 120-123.

Hachimura anotó desde la esquina un triple inmaculado –el primer buzzer beater de su carrera– para terminar con 12 puntos, 3 rebotes y 1 robo.

El mejor del partido, otra vez, fue Austin Reaves. El escolta angelino se fue a 44 puntos (13 de 21, 5 de 11 y 13 de 15), 5 rebotes y 10 asistencias, en 41 minutos (+6) y cubrió a la perfección la ausencia de Luka Doncic, en Eslovenia en el nacimiento de su segundo hijo.
